Premium Customized Silicon Manganese Alloy Balls for Steel Manufacturing
Silicon manganese ball is mainly used as the intermediate material of deoxidizer and alloying agent in steel production, and it is also the main raw material for the production of medium and low carbon ferromanganese. Silicon manganese alloy is an alloy composed of manganese, silicon, iron and a small amount of carbon and other elements. It is a ferroalloy with wide applications and large output. Its consumption accounts for the second place of electric furnace ferroalloy products. Silicon and manganese in silicon manganese alloy have strong affinity with oxygen. When silicon manganese alloy is used in steelmaking, the deoxidation products mnsio3 and mnsio4 melt at 1270 ºC and 1327 ºC respectively. It has the advantages of low melting point, large particles, easy floating, good deoxidation effect, etc. Under the same conditions, using manganese or silicon to deoxidize alone, the burning loss rates are 46% and 37% respectively, while using silicon manganese alloy to deoxidize, the burning loss rates of the two are 29%.
